An Amazing Reveal

One thing that has always amazed me are “speed painters.” You might have seen them on a talent show or other entertainment venue. They are painting away and you aren’t sure what it is they are painting, or you think that you know, and then they flip the painting at the end and it something entirely different and usually amazing.

These talents and the showmanship that accompanies can be very entertaining. However, I was thinking about them in a different light lately. It seems every time we turn around some tragedy, some difficulty befalls someone we know and love. It is often hard to channel our reasoning around some of these situations and we are left grasping for meaning and understanding. Though infinitely true, sometime it comes off a bit trite to say we just need to trust in God.

We absolutely need to trust God and trust in God! But maybe we can use those speed painters as a bit of a visual. We may not understand the things that happen before our eyes, like brush strokes with no rhyme or reason, but one day God is going to flip that painting and reveal something beautiful that He has had in mind this whole time. That reveal is coming, walk with Him, trust Him, let Him carry you when you don’t know how you will take the next step. Give John 14:1-4 a read.
